The South Chicago Wheelmen have been making headway at the @gatewaycupstl After two days of racing, the guys have been working together all the way to the end — covering moves, fighting for position, and throwing down in the sprints.

Monk has finished top 10 on both days and is sitting 7th overall! Today we line up for the @americancritcup race at Gateway Cup with high energy and big ambitions. Let’s go!

Huge thank you to everyone who came out for the 2025 edition of the Cobb Park Criterium!

The Cobb Park Crit has deep roots — first held by the South Chicago Wheelmen back in the early 1980s, it’s a race with decades of history and community energy behind it.

This year didn’t disappoint — stacked fields, burgers and dogs on the grill, the jet skis and boats speeding down the Kankakee river, and the sound of friends and family cheering from every corner of the course. Couldn’t ask for a better day of racing.

Special thanks to everyone who helped make it happen — from course setup to registration, officials to burger flipping and keeping things running smooth.

We rolled into the weekend with this amazing welcome from the Chapman family! Then some Friday night laps at @fatandskinnytirefest. Chaos early with a windstorm blowing in just as the 3/4s rolled out, skies cleared in time for the Elite men to throw down. Got into an early move with a few that had promise, but it all came back together after 15-20 minutes. Midway through Cayden got up the road with 7 others while monkey boy kept things in check. After some heavy racing, Cayden pulled off 4th and monk rolled in 8th. Solid start—bring on day 2.

What a weekend to kick off the road season! Huge thanks to everyone who came out and rolled with the schedule change to avoid the rain.

Saturday’s TT saw @jgcycling2 take the top spot, while Craig and Cayden went 1/2 in the 1/2/3. In the afternoon circuit, Jack bounced back from a slide out to win the junior field, and in the 1/2/3, Craig took the W withCayden making moves slotting in for 3rd.

Sunday, the sun showed up, and Jack edged out Oscar in the sprint. Spencer made a strong move for 3rd in the 3s, while Craig and Cayden dominated the 1/2/3 with a 1/3/4 finish, and 1/2/4 in the Omnium! Without the teams effort in the field this could have gone a different direction.

Amazing start to the season—on to @sunnykingcrit and @critchampionship! Thanks to everyone who raced, volunteered, and supported. Let’s keep it rolling with @never.second fuel!
